CHA Armchair Attendee Week, Day #2

Today I'm trying something new: trend mash-ups. We'll be looking at examples of product lines or individual products where trends are combined. A reminder that I am not trying to be comprehensive here - just sharing a handful of fun examples.

So...here we go...

Sequins + Wood
Sequins have hit big time and the woodgrain pattern trend has evolved in recent years to wood/wood veneer product. So...why not mix the two? Chic Tags has done this with with their Cloud 9 line. So very clever! (Look in the bottom left corner of the image below.)

 

Metallics + Social Media
Jenni Bowlin's  fun gold sticker set includes a geotag, a hastag, and emoticons, amongst other icons and images.

 
Hexagons + Puffy Stickers
I love this fun and colorful mash-up from Heidi Swapp's Favorite Things collection. While it's clear that the hexagon trend has been waning, puffy stickers are hot right now and this trend collision revitalizes the hexagon in a fun and fresh way.

Chalkboard + Metallics
American Crafts DIY Shop combines two of the most dominant trends in the industry with this line of embellishments.

 

Anchors + Geotags + Arrows + Enamel Dots

A quadruple whammy from My Mind's Eye in the Now and Then Milo collection.

 

Speech Bubbles + Label Stickers

Pink Paislee has combined these in a subtle, yet fun way in their Pen Pals collection.

Ampersand + Cameras

Campersand? Amperas? Whatever you want to call it, I love the fun yellow camera-print ampersand featured at the top of this set of chipboard embellishments from the Simple Stories A Charmed Life collection. (That shamrock with an arrow through it is also pretty cute!)

Ombre + Cityscapes

This very cool paper is part of Basic Grey's Kelly Purkey Mon Ami line.
