October Afternoon Cakewalk Blog Hop

Welcome to today's October Afternoon Cakewalk Blog Hop! Cakewalk is a fun and colorful line perfect for lots of occasions, including summertime, everyday projects, or, of course, birthdays:

I used the following Cakewalk products on my "He Gave Her" layout:

• Patterned Paper: Confetti, Streamers, Party Hat
• Tin Pins
• Flower Sack
• Washi Tape: Celebrate, Numbers
• Label Stickers

The washi tape was perfect for adding captions to my photos, which I had printed as polaroids. The washi tape was also perfect for adding my daughter's age to the layout. I had a lot of fun with the Streamers paper, cutting out individual banner elements and layering them behind the bottom edge of each photo. I love that October Afternoon paper lines always include some sort of grid or ledger paper, like the B side of Party Hat, as those papers are perfect for adding journaling to a layout.

My five favorite Cakewalk products, in no particular order, are:
