The kit I worked with had tons of fun stuff in it and was full of fabulous bright colors - totally up my alley! There were three sets of alphas, lots of patterned paper and cardstock (including several brands and textures of cardstock - love that!), and countless fun embellishments. I've barely cracked the kit with the projects I've made and am looking forward to making even more with it!
Here's a 4th of July card I cooked up with flocked brads, patterned paper, and painted chipboard Thickers:
I also made a layout using the oh-so-cool Prima Clearly IOD alpha tape (thank you, Green Tangerines for introducing me to to this product!) and a fun little graphic smiley I made with a circle punch and bits of foam alphas:
So...here comes the fun part...wanna win a Green Tangerines kit? :) One with over $50.00 worth of scrapbooking goodies? :) Yes? Okay, then leave a comment here telling me the name of your favorite children's novel (gotta keep my reader supplied with fresh material!). Be sure to post by 5:00 PST (that's 6:00 Mountain Time for all you locals!) tomorrow, Thursday, May 28th, and I'll randomly draw a winner. Be sure to check back tomorrow night to see if you've won!
Want two chances to win? :) If so, be sure to visit the Green Tangerines Kit Club blog. :)

hmmm...fave children's novel. I recently finished reading one of my 4th grader's books: No Talking by Andrew Clements. Very clever - I honestly can't imagine my own kids would stop talking for 2 days...but who knows what they'd do if there's a competition - and a "DARE" involved!

We love the Stink books (Stink is Judy Moody's brother). Very funny, with a little something educational thrown in (for example, did you know James Madison was our shortest president?). The kind of books the grown-ups don't mind reading. :)
Right now my kids and I are having a lot of fun reading all the Skippyjon Jones Books. We just giggle away at all the fun rhyming throughout.
My favorite was Charlotte's Web because I grew up on a farm with pigs!! Loved sharing that with my girls!! They also loved one called Todd and Copper - it was from a Disney Series I ordered (15 years ago) my DH name is Todd and the girls thought that was great plus he would do great voices for the characters! Later on we found the movie!!
So my favorite childrens BOOK is If they put me in the zoo. Novel would have to be any of the sweet valley high series. I loved those when I was in like 4th-8th grade!
My absolute favorite Children's novel is The Giver by Lois Lowry. However...you should read it before your child does because it has a lot to talk about! It is SO good!!!
I was too old when American Girl books came out, but my daughter is just the right age. Love getting to finally read these and with my little girl.
My little one loves "The Search of The Great White Tiger" by Sheila Walsh. She's only four so she isn't reading quite yet. Not a novel but a great book just as well.
