October Afternoon Make It Merry Blog Hop

Welcome to my stop on the October Afternoon Make It Merry Blog Hop! Today we are celebrating this fun new line. Make It Merry combines vintage holiday-print patterns with basic and graphic prints. In other words, Make It Merry has something for everyone. An added fun bonus? All of the patterned paper names start with "Make" (Make a Wreath, Make a Figgy Pudding, etc.).

Let's take a look at what the whole collection looks like:

Here's a fun card I created with this line:

I used all of the following products on my card:

Make a Star patterned paper (A side)
Make a Garland patterned paper (A side)
Make a Garland patterned paper (B side)
Make a Card patterned paper (A side)
Postcards

Chipboard Bundle

Tidbits
I also threw in a product from last year's holiday line, Holiday Style (love the glitter in these colors!):

Do you love Make It Merry as much as I do? If you do, how about a chance to win some of it? Please leave a comment below to be entered to win a set of the Make It Merry Miscellany (winner will be announced on Wednesday, November 14th):

Want some more chances to win? How about heading on over to the next stop on the blog hop, Roree Rumph's blog.

Here's the whole blog hop line-up. Be sure to check out each stop, as there's a giveaway at every stop:

Maps and the Case of the Missing Apostrophe

Today I launched Map Week at write.click.scrapbook. with this layout (and lots of layouts from write.click.scrapbook. team members):

Cardstock: Bazzill Basics + Patterned Paper: Crate Paper + Letter Stickers: Pebbles + Twine: May Arts
While the main purpose of this blog post is to encourage you to follow Map Week all week this week, I couldn't post this layout without the accompanying story.

I photographed this layout, edited the photo, included it in my Map Week post, and also loaded it to the gallery at Two Peas in a Bucket

Later, I noticed a red apostrophe stuck to the bottom of my sock, but assumed one had come loose from the packaging when I was cleaning up my desk.

Notice anything about my layout? Yup. The missing apostrophe. I posted this thing in two different places without seeing it. The apostrophe is now back on the layout. Phew! Grammar disaster averted!

Halloween Is Nearly Here!

The fall air is crisp, yet we still have glorious sunshine. The tree-lined streets have most definitely changed from green to yellow/gold/orange/red. The leaves are falling and crunch under our feet whenever we head outside. All of this means that Halloween is right around the corner!

I am already ahead of the game Halloween-scrap-wise, as I've got a layout up on the Pebbles blog today and a layout up on the October Afternoon blog today, both celebrating this year's Halloween more than a week before the big day.

First up is my Pebbles layout, featuring the Tricks and Treats collection, which documents Sadie's choice of costume this year:

For more details, please see today's Pebbles blog post.

Second is my October Afternoon layout, which features the Witch Hazel collection and photos from this weekend's school Halloween carnival:

For more details, please see today's October Afternoon blog post.

Just FYI, I am thick in the midst of scrappy goodness and craft-y anticipation, as between this past weekend and this week four boxes of lovely paper products have or will be crossing my threshold. You wanna know what I'm creating with, right? Well, the first box contained new October Afternoon Make It Merry and Farm Girl, the second contains a mystery product line that will be featured both on projects and as a giveaway at write.click.scrapbook. on November 8th (yes, I bolded that so that you can mark your calendars!), the third contains a much-anticipated Pebbles mid-season release (keep watching the Pebbles blog for sneaks coming soon! :)), and the fourth contains my gigantic order of Simple Stories' Sn@p. Guess what's coming at the end of this week? Fall break, which means more time for scrapbooking, card-making, and other projects!
